Long story short: Osight XE AMRS is an enclosed red dot on the Trijicon RMR footprint, with five selectable reticles, a collapsible backup rear sight built into the housing, and a side-loading CR1632 battery instead of a charging port.

RMR footprint, enclosed body

The XE AMRS sits on the industry-standard Trijicon RMR footprint, the same pattern used by the Holosun 407C and 507C, so it fits full-size pistols cut for RMR as well as the many RMR plates and mounts already available. Because the emitter is fully enclosed, rain, dust and pocket lint cannot get between the LED and the lens.

Advanced Multi-Reticle System (AMRS)

The AMRS gives five reticle configurations from one optic:

• 2 MOA dot
• 6 MOA dot
• 32 MOA circle
• 2 MOA dot + 32 MOA circle
• 6 MOA dot + 32 MOA circle

A small dot for precision, a larger dot for speed, or a circle-dot for fast pickup at close range - without swapping optics.

Collapsible backup rear sight

A collapsible backup rear sight (CBRS) is built into the housing. It deploys at the press of a button and gives you an aiming solution if the optic is switched off or runs out of power, so no separate backup irons are needed on the slide.

Side-loading battery, no charging port

The XE AMRS runs on a single CR1632 cell loaded from the side, so the battery is changed without removing the optic and without losing zero. Runtime reaches up to 105,000 hours on the 2 MOA setting, and motion activation puts the optic to sleep after 3 minutes of inactivity.

Built to take a beating

The housing is CNC-machined from aircraft-grade 7075-T6 aluminium and rated IPX7 for water immersion. The aspherical lens keeps the sight picture flat and free of distortion, and there are 10 brightness levels - 8 for daylight and 2 for night vision devices. Windage and elevation adjust in 1 MOA clicks, with 90 MOA of total travel.
