Which sights to choose

  • You use a red dot: co-witness sights. They are tall enough to see through the red dot window.
  • You shoot with iron sights only: low sights. They sit close to the slide.

The sights in detail

  • Co-witness sights from Night Fision, in tritium. They are taller than standard sights, so you see them through the window of a red dot on the slide.
  • Low sights from Angry Bear and Night Fision, in blank, fiber optic and tritium. They sit close to the slide and suit shooting with iron sights only.

Fit

  • They also fit Canik TP9 models, including TP9 SFx or TP9 Elite Combat.

Sight picture

Fiber optic collects daylight and shines brightly at the range and in competition. Tritium glows in the dark without charging. Blank sights have a plain grooved surface without any marks.

Installation

Most pistol sights sit in a dovetail. You drift the old sight out and the new one in with a sight pusher or a punch. See Installation tools.

For optic plates, see Optics ready plates for Canik TP9 Elite. For all sights of this brand, see Sights for Canik models.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change the sights on my Canik TP9 at home?

Yes, with a sight pusher or a punch. Drift the old sight out of the dovetail and push the new one in. If you do not have the tool, a gunsmith can do it for you.

Which sights should I choose for my Canik TP9?

It depends on how you shoot:

  • You use a red dot: co-witness sights. They are tall enough to see through the red dot window.
  • You shoot with iron sights only: low sights. They sit close to the slide.
